Opposing teams view

It's the final Pre-Season game for the Sabres as they prepare for their regular season opener on Friday against the Montreal Canadiens.  The Sabres roster is currently at 24 players which means they need to trim the roster by at least one player.  It's no surprise that Tim Connolly has been unable to practice because of a back injury but he is expected to be in the lineup on Friday night.  It's also expected that Adam Mair will be ready for Friday and he may even play tonight.  I still don't think the Sabres will start the season with eight defensemen but it is a distinct possibility if Weber makes the top six.

Players to watch:  Clarke MacArthur, Drew Stafford, Mike Weber, Nathan Paetsch and Henrik Tallinder.
