Are you ready for the Rangers?
Greetings Sabres fans. I see several Rumblers in here so, some of you will be familiar with the dribble that I spew out. (Don't worry D.O.)
I just wanted to stop by and talk about the upcoming Rangers/Sabres match-up, and offer a little bit of an inside look at what I've noticed so far from my Rangers, hope you don't mind.
1st - Let me say this; There is no way the Sabres are going to drop 7 on the Rangers they way they did the Islanders. The Rangers D is solid, and with Hank in goal even better. Hank has allowed a paultry 5 goals in 4 games so far. I don't see that trend changing anytime soon, Hank has set the bar high this year, claiming that he wants to be the top goalie in the league.
2nd - As Buffalo fans you will want to keep your eyes on the top line (or Drury line if you will), but if you look away when the top line isn't on the ice, you will miss the Rangers best line. Brandon Dubinsky, Aaron Voros, and Nikolai Zherdev, and playing some sick hockey right now. Dubie and Voros are tied for the team lead with 7 points (3G - 4A each) and it seems like anytime something good happens for the Rangers that line is on the ice.
That is really all I have I check back later to chat, Oh and my prediction: Rangers 4 - Sabres 2. Ranger set the franchise mark by going 6-0.

Let's start by saying
All Rumblers are welcome here (even if they are a filthy Rangers fan…hahaha). I can’t believe how well the Rangers have started this season…5-0, really? I thought the Rangers would be a good team but they are turning a lot of heads early on in the season. “Hank” has been a good goalie since he entered the league but is it too early to say Vezina? The Rangers remind me of the Sabres two years ago when they began the season with 10 consecutive victories.
The Sabres will certainly not put seven goals up on the board but it is the improved defense that is the most impressive IMO. I fully expect the game will be a high paced low scoring game that may even come down to overtime or a shootout. It will be even more difficult for the Sabres to win without Jochen Hecht. The team now has Gaustad, Connolly and Hecht all on the shelf and Matt Ellis is expected to see his first action of the season.

Vezina
That is what Hank wants this year. He wants, the record for games played by a goalie in a season and Wins. (Rangers team records). I’d link the quote if I could find it.

He's welcome to it...
…it we get the Cup. I think that is the difference between the NYC mentality and the Buffalo mentality. The NYC media and players focus on personal attention, star power and individual awards because that’s what marketing execs like. Buffalo doesn’t really care much about individual awards. Only the Cup matters.

Not entirely true. The NYC media is so large it can focus on many different things. Believe me if the Rangers don’t go deep into the play-offs Sather will catch a ton of flak for letting Jagr walk (or skate if you will)

I love the way Brandon Dubinsky's lines always cycle the puck
It was probably the bright spot of Jagr’s year to cycle the puck with Brandon. As shown this year, he can be a scoring threat as well as grind down opposing Defenseman.
By the way, I’m a Capitals fan and we desperately need a blog in the SB Nation. We have a ton of good bloggers out there, so I’m sure it won’t be too hard to find one.
Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words—"mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.
