The Buffalo Sabres sent Patrick Kaleta and five other players to the Rochester Americans. They also sent Phillip Gogulla and Felix Schutz to their teams in the German League. The players joining Kaleta in Rochester are Dylan Hunter, Mike Card, Marc-Andre Gragnani, Mike Weber, Adam Dennis. Many Sabres fans were not only hoping that Kaleta would make the team but they think he should have. This move is not bad, it is a very good move for both the Sabres and Kaleta.
The Sabres website and the Buffalo News state that the roster is now at 28 players but I only count 26 so help me out where I'm wrong.
Centers (5): Tim Connolly, Paul Gaustad, Derek Roy, Adam Mair, Marek Zagrapan
Left Wing (5): Jochen Hecht, Clarke MacArthur, Daniel Paille, Andrew Peters, Thomas Vanek
Right Wing (6): Maxim Afinogenov, Ales Kotalik, Mark Mancari, Michael Ryan, Jason Pominville, Drew Stafford
Defenseman (8): Brian Campbell, Mike Funk, Dmitri Kalinin, Toni Lydman, Nathan Paetsch, Andrej Sekera, Jaro Spacek, Henrik Tallinder, Teppo Numminen
Goalies (2): Ryan Miller, Jocelyn Thibault, Karl Goehring
Based on my calculations that is 26 players so help me figure out what two players I am missing.
Update: The two extra players are defenseman Teppo Numminen and back up goaltender Karl Goehring (who was not on the Sabres initial training camp roster).
