Die by the Blade update

I have to apologize for the lack of content over the weekend, I had a camping trip planned months ago and hed no internet access.  Things are going to get going in the next couple of days.  I have some features planned as well as some prospect profiles.  I'm going to keep this short but I have a few views I'd like to share.

It appears that the rift between the Buffalo News and the Buffalo Sabres is going to continue until they succeed in getting someone in management fired.  I have never seen anything like this before but the News continue to pour it on.  It's starting to feel like this is about more than hockey (I'll have more on that later).

It also appears that the TBN has succeeded in getting their message through to the fans.  I talked to many people this weekend who wanted my outlook on the Sabres, which wasn't a popular opinion by the way.  It seems like everyone in Buffalo thinks the team is going to be much worse than they were and the think the fans are going to stay away next year.  As I've stated before I don't agree with that opinion.  It also seems that everyone is blaming the Sabres management for the team losing Daniel Briere and Chris Drury without realizing that they didn't want to be here.

I'll talk much more about these topics tomorrow but I wanted to get this out tonight to get some more opinions.  I would like to know from people who they blame for the departure of the captains and I would also like to know your take on the team next season.

Sabres are very much alive

I agree with you David.  The Sabres are going to be just fine next year.  They will be a different team without Chris and Danny, but honestly I think they'll still win 45+ games and be in the top four in the conference.  We still have some guns, as TV, Roy, Pommer, Staff, and others will only get better.  And I have full faith in Lindy to implement a more defensive approach, and for this approach to be successful.

And the withc hunt that TBN is doing is ridiculous.  But eventually those idiots will stop when the season starts and we start winning.  And we continue to sell out EVERY home game!
