Schiestel raised his stock with a good showing in last years OHL playoffs.  Schiestel had 21 points in 66 games during the regular season before having six assists in five playoff games.

Scouting Report

Schiestel is still too small for the pro game but with some seasoning he could be a solid pro defenseman.  In addition to adding size he will need to improve his puck skills before turning pro.  Schiestel is a tall lanky kid which helps him have a long reach to help him in the defensive end.
